Application-led compound development
Reactive extrusion combines chemical modification with continuous melt processing. We help assess how polymer chemistry, reagent addition, mixing intensity and residence time interact, including grafting, compatibilization and reactive recycling concepts.
Technical focus areas
- Reaction route and feed strategy
- Screw configuration, mixing and devolatilization
- Thermal history, residence time and side-reaction control
- Modified polymer characterization and process repeatability
From formulation brief to validation plan
Begin with the intended cable layer, construction and operating environment. Define the target properties and relevant test methods before comparing formulations. Review compound behaviour under representative extrusion and, where applicable, crosslinking conditions.
Material screening, production trials and finished-cable qualification provide complementary evidence. The applicable specification and acceptance criteria should be agreed for the specific project.
