Application-led compound development
PVC performance depends on the interaction of resin, plasticizer where used, stabilizer, fillers and processing additives. Our approach considers the formulation as a complete system, addressing the required property balance alongside thermal stability and practical extrusion behaviour.
Technical focus areas
- Flexibility, hardness and application-specific mechanical targets
- Stabilization, lubrication and processing window
- Flame, smoke and acidity requirements where applicable
- Plasticizer selection, migration and material compatibility
From formulation brief to validation plan
Begin with the intended cable layer, construction and operating environment. Define the target properties and relevant test methods before comparing formulations. Review compound behaviour under representative extrusion and, where applicable, crosslinking conditions.
Material screening, production trials and finished-cable qualification provide complementary evidence. The applicable specification and acceptance criteria should be agreed for the specific project.
